Collection: 'What is home'
‘What is home’ is a womenswear conceptual collection that was inspired by the recent reworked eviction painting by Adam Doyle and the mural from the artist Asbestos titled - 'What is home'.
This question 'What is home' really moved me and became the basis for the concept of this collection. It is about reflection, accepting where we are and the responsibility to take ourselves where we must go. When I am designing womenswear I picture a woman within the concept I have written and imagine the journey she is taking.
In this collection she learnt that her home was not what she thought it was. She went traveling and was inspired by the new friends she made. She was surprised to find that when life gives you lemons, if you squeeze them you get lemonade.
After a few months, she had grown and realised that if you want to create change, you have to do it from the inside out, not alone. Her new found lack of identity was not going to be discovered out there but was waiting for her at home at the crossroads to journey into the unknown. You can't erase the past but can look to today, utilise all that you have and go your own way.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and hope you like our new collection of 100% recycled raincoats, silk dupion sports blazers, linen shirts, hand made crocheted vests, satin silk deadstock boxer shorts, organic cotton t-shirts, shorts and joggers.
